Wow !! This place is superb. Nicely designed. Friendly. The bread is fresh and tasty like not many others in the city. Coming from a real bread-addict, which I am, that says a lot. I only wish they had more choices in the organic field....You have to ask which of the breads are made from organic flour, but at least they do offer some. The bread at Bread is excellent, as they use traditional, time-consuming methods to great effect. My favorite is the simplest one, called Le Bâtard. While breads like croissants, chocolatines, and ginger snaps are okay, they are not their strong suit. The service is slow and lacking in efficiency, and for some strange reason, they only accept Interac, leaving cashless non-Canadians out in the cold. View all feedback.
