I don't get out to many solely veggie restaurants so being able to choose from anything on the menu was just wonderful. I loved that the meals were marked as vegan when applicable as France isn't exactly renowned for it's veganism! There wasn't any alcohol...so had freshly squeezed pink grapefruit and I think that was the nicest thing I drank on the whole holiday. Sweet and tasty and fresh. My husband (meat eater) an... What Luc Ferrand doesn't like about Tripti Kulai:
the food was tasty enough, but the menu was all that they could cook quite simply themselves at home had nothing really fantasy or flair. and while the service was not bad, it was nowhere as friendly and welcoming as with others. restaurants I visited in montpellier. go with all means when they are looking for vegan or vegetarian eating, but do not expect too much. and, they don't serve a cry! what kind of restaurant... We had high hopes for our supper this evening but the food was very disappointing. The Gratin Classique consisted of a few very overcooked vegetables topped with an undercooked egg (white not set), a really stodgy cornmeal galette and cheese. The Gratin Savoyard wasn't much better. We decided to stop after one course. So no comment on starters or desserts. Service was pleasant and unhurried. Other diners seemed more contented. The plus side was that dishes are clearly marked as gluten free. Hence 2 stars and rather than one. We shall not be returning.
This is the only vegetarian restaurant in Montpellier so just as well the food is good.I had a tasty plat du jour with a delicious sweet tart for a good price at lunchtime. It was busy but the staff were friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was peaceful despite the busyness. I loved it and would definitely go back.
This charming vegetarian restaurent has excellent real home made food, the ambiance is a completely new experience with the waitresses wearing Indian dress and the peaceful atmosphere. I really recommend this place you can have a daily menu for a very reasonable price as well as the regular menu.great for vegetarians ,vegan and gluten freeGreat central location in Montpelier
The décor and atmosphere of this restaurant is warm, inviting, colourful....the service is kind and gentle. However, the main dishes were small and overpriced. Mine wasn't even tasty. We didn't go back, even though we're vegetarian. A bit disappointed.
I came across this waiting for a museum to open and had an inexpensive and healthy soup & tarte combination, which was fine for lunch. The staff are like nuns.
