La cantine de Charlotte is a cozy and affordable place to have fresh home-made food in Montpellier. We really enjoyed staying there for lunch.
It looks brand new, and it is! It's up an alley not far from the Jardin des Plantes and 2 mins from the Cathedral. We were looking for a late lunch and we were struck by the modern white room on our left and a super smell coming from the open kitchen...so in we went. And we saw two seats outside with a little table really neat idea! Greeted by a smiling owner, we were treated a fantastic squash soup, a crocque monsieur with duck and other delectable bits, a smoked salmon sandwich with chevre, side salad, an apple crumble dessert, coffee, mint tea, pear juice and coke all for 21 Euros. Couldn't believe it. Great music, great touches if you are in the vicinity pay a visit you'll love it.
