What Zacharie Fernandes doesn't like about Cellier-Morel:
The restaurant positions itself in the top price class (EUR for a starter and a main course is extremely high) ... this sets the high level of exceptions, which unfortunately has not been met ... ok, the food is very good and innovative and...the wine selection extensive this is a basic requirement at this level ... BUT: mainly young unexperienced waiters unable to adapt to guest's requirements, course served much to... View all feedback.
We have booked a table for the year 2020, of course it was a special menu. After reading all the good reviews about the restaurant we were happy to have dinner, but we left the restaurant with disappointment. eating was okay, but...not especially and fantastic. the most tasty dish was the apero snacks oliven and ham that had nothing in common with the kitchen work. the scallops were drowned in the sauce, the presentation of cheese was terrible, the dessert was super acid. the main course was huh and only truffle sauce brought a feeling of holiday. but the worst was the service. I don't know why we were so unhappy to have such a waiter, he couldn't answer any question. plates were served without fixed frequency, which we waited for for 30 minutes. above the supplement for our huh was not served, we had noticed it only later after we looked at the tables near. it was a scandal for the restaurant this level. Of course, the waiter after my complaint has suggested to serve him separately to try, but did there any sense? after that, the restaurant had not even suggested a drink/discount to apologize. my recommendation: do not go there, high price menu is not a sign of the high standard restaurant.
This was a potential car accident, but ultimately a triumph. but only. 15 minutes early to have a drink in the barshop. we were given menus water and then nothing. nothing. No one came. the senator was visible even 20 minutes. So we took ourselves to the (lovingly beautiful) in-house dining room at a nice table and we waited and finally waited our aperitifs and eating and waiting drinks came. no food, ordered. waits for starter. one hour after our reservation we were served our starters. amazing chilled beet root soup a bbq aubergine. 8/10 and we waited. tischnest to us went out in wut (laut) not served we waited. wein was presented list goes from €14-€200 decanter produced places in weinkucket to cool a first for me! and we waited that wein was poured out. everything else faded. A-amazing! really amazing dom de l’Hortus. main courses. slow **** slumm sous vide brought both tasty had to hunt for the aligot side dish (damaging chauffe) that arrived after we a coward the main course desserts schokolade deluxe. both ok. nothing special bill €175 for two. no apologies for mistakes, delays. no attempt to explain. don't worry that it's so good that it's so good. fabulous eating apalling in front of house service. even more n a busy Saturday night nothing excuses this chaos. but go to cook and the environment is beautiful
We loved everything about this restaurant. that was amazing. every cure was presented beautifully and absolutely delicious. the service was wonderful-attentive, timely and we were not rushed out of the door. the outside seats are located in an in front of the restaurant. it was peaceful and beautiful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates fine eating especially, as it was really not expensive for the fixed price menu.
Excellent wine offer, this in combination with local cheese! What else do you need? I liked a lot that you can go there after a concert and pamper yourself!
This is not a mere restaurant but an experience. The setting is awsome in a stone cave, the decoration is modern, discrete and, weather permitting, outside seating is possible in an inner courtyard. Service us elegant, professional and the servant of the « aligoté », a...rich purée, a show. The food is fantastic and the cœur de bœuf aux foie gras et aux morilles en croûte an extraordinary explosión of flavours. It’s been on the carte for now 20 years and is the star of the house. The sine card is well stocked and the sommelier will assist you gladly in the labyrinth of local crus you wouldn’t imagine, plain great! My favorite place in and around Montpellier
