Went in for strawberry shortcake and custard eclairs and was not disappointed. Both desserts were available and the eclair was delicious. I'm looking forward to having the strawberry shortcake tomorrow. Clean shop, good service and pleasant staff. View all feedback.
What Kevin M doesn't like about Defilippis Bakery:
So went here many years ago the quality on a Saturday afternoon was not so good. I'll give them another opportunity in the future and I hope they don't disappoint me again with substandard product.Went back again and it was a little better. It needs consistency overall. View all feedback.
I'm currently inside the bakery, and I've been waiting for 21 minutes for a single plain toasted bagel! I've been asked about my order four times, yet I'm still waiting. It seems like "New York style" means they travel to Manhattan for each bagel update! On a positive note, the owner came by to apologize and refunded our money, which was very professional of them.
I spent the weekend at the lake house for my son's 3rd birthday. I really appreciated that they allowed me to come in just five minutes after closing to pick up a birthday cake. It was absolutely delicious—perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness, and everyone loved the combination of cake and icing! A big thank you to the staff for being so accommodating!
I always seek out great coffee shops or dessert places wherever I travel. If you're looking for a fantastic bakery in Monticello, be sure to check out DeFilippis. They offer a complete bakery selection, along with delicious desserts, macarons, and coffee. I was truly impressed!
Food is good, service stinks. Understaffed, stood in line for 20 minutes and walked out empty handed, about 5 people were standing around waiting. No sense of urgency with the employees. Ended up walking down the street about 300ft and went acrossthe street to some bagel place. It looked as if they had 30 customers in there, but 10 employees serving people. Food wasserved and paid for within 5 minutes.
Yesterday someone brought my child a black white cookie. He looked at it said Mommy something is missing. I was surprised when I saw it. If I lived closer I would have brought it back. There was barely any icing on it. I am thinking maybe it didn'tcool enough before the icing was put on. However one would think someone looks at the product before selling it???. As far astaste it was ok. Does pride in the product disappear when prices are raised? Business owners, cooks etc..would you accept whatyou are expecting other people to buy? I think this a valid ?. Peace everyone. Hope everyone stays healthy happy.
