Solaia - Monticello

My wife and I fled to our 29th. Anniversary of the Catskills. We made reservations at Solaia for our anniversary dinner. We started ordering cocktails. My Manhattan was pure perfection. My wife's Vodka Collins was here. We chose the roasted artichoke hearts as an appetizer. (Pic 1) It comes with 3 on the plate. I've never seen how they served. It presented beautiful and this dish was amazing!!! For dinner I ordered the Grilled Scallops over Fatuccini. (Pic 2) The scallops were juicy and perfectly cooked. Fatuccini was great. There was so much taste in this dish that I was sad to see that it was gone...ok, sworn. I ordered the Tiramisu for dessert. (Pic 3) This was one of the best I ever had. It was so delicious and light. If you find yourself in the Catskills, you're safe and make reservations in Solaia. (Pic 4) The food is amazing, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the service is simply excellent.

Amazing! We ordered many different things and everything was cooked perfectly. The service was outstanding as well. If and when I return to this area, I will absolutely come back here for more!

Very good, but VERY expensive. More than you would pay in the NY Metro area for a comparable experience. Food was very good, except for the carpaccio which was smothered under a mountain of arugula the filet was barely evident. Menu was nice but not lavish, more dishes would definitely have been welcome. Service was good, not spectacular. The dining room was warmly decorated reminiscent of the best traditional formal restaurants. The place was hopping. If you go, make a reservation.

A great place to have dinner with friends. One of the best restaurants in the area. The place its own by a family who are very attentive to details and their service it?s top notch. Highly recommended

We?re from West Michigan where fresh fish is plentiful but this place was beyond words. The atmosphere/ambiance was dim, romantic perfect. Service (Mentor was fantastic the food was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend if you?re in the area. Request Mentor as your server. The house wine was fantastic too!
