Wow! I wish I had visited this restaurant sooner. The food was incredibly fresh, hot, and bursting with flavor. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I had a lovely dinner with my partner and would love to come back again. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Yokohama Japanese:
Upon receiving the bill, customers may be surprised to find that the prices are higher than what is listed on the menu. For example, the shrimp fry that is advertised for $9 ends up costing $13. This price discrepancy was consistent across all items, such as the rainbow roll priced at $9.99 but charged at $13 on the bill. However, the sushi was delicious. I had made a reservation in advance for a party of 10 people at 7 PM. Our food didn't arrive until 9:15 PM and the staff didn't offer any updates or check on our table. The food was decent, but the service was incredibly poor. We didn't receive any refills on our beverages and had to repeatedly ask for utensils. We were seated in a back room with larger parties, even though the restaurant was practically empty on a Tuesday night. The service and attitude of the staff were unacceptable, as they seemed indifferent to our experience. The only thing that kept me from getting too upset was the good company I was with to celebrate.
I had visited yokohama a few years ago and came with, overpriced what I experienced tonight was by no means cheap, but it was the freshest sashimi I had for a long time. the staff was friendly and helpful. have I mentioned the sashimi? the sushi cook even came into our room to take the a la carte selection I wanted, and he did not disappoint. the evening was much better than I expected and I will be regular from here.
I went when they opened and loved the place. I haven't been for a while and had the opportunity to return for lunch. I was reminded how great it was. From the appetizers to the sushi my lunch was great. I love fried sushi and thoroughly enjoyed my spicy crunchy California roll.
