Fantastic find! This place is so gorgeous. It feels like a portal into another time and place. Anna is a pleasure to talk to and the whole house is so inviting and beautiful you want to spend time discovering all its charms. Great value for the quality. Excellent location for exploring the region. City Winery is a must for dinner or shows. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Borland Inn Brunch House:
We went there for brunch and it was not a good experience. I won't go back there again. The only lunch item on the menu was chicken on waffle and they said they were out of it. They gave you two paper napkins for two people, and when I asked for more, they gave 2 more! One small salad for two people. It is overpriced for sure and they also forced 20% gratuity on the bill. The bottom line is it is really nothing good... View all feedback.

What a quaint and comfy escape! We had a beautiful drive from the NYC area. Fall leaves of all colors decorated the roads, along with the landscape of the Inn. The town itself is walkable with restaurants, shops and coffee shops. The Inn is beautifully decorated with little sitting areas and nooks in the common rooms, which allow visitors the opportunity to take in the beauty of the place. Pure relaxation! Our room was lovely. We booked last minute as we had a wedding in the area. The official wedding hotel was a part of a not super exciting chain that was charging 300 a night. We went rouge and booked this stunning Inn and were immediately pleased upon arrival. Our room was clean and the shower had great water pressure. In the morning, we had a delicious gourmet breakfast. My husband opted for the breakfast sandwich with fresh salad and I went for the pumpkin waffles. Both were outstanding. The management was wonderful and professional. We made a mistake when checking in and got confused about the location of our room. Instead of making this a big deal, they handled our mistake and ensured all was good and our wedding festivities were not interrupted. We will definitely be returning. Thank you so very much for a wonderful experience. Do yourself a favor and book this quintessential Hudson Valley inn!
OH EM GEE!! What a GEM!!I booked The Borland Inn by happy coincidence while traveling back to my home in the Midwest after leaving Connecticut. It was an impulse decision and one of my better ones I must say. From atmosphere, to location, to hospitality, to service ..FIVE STARS IS NOT ENOUGH. I even got a free upgrade. I hope to have the privilege of staying in this stately beautiful home again some day. Thank you for EVERYTHING! (Including a PERSONAL tour of a local vintage shop that was just adorable. I still am wearing a bracelet I purchased there every day ?
This place is awesome. Very early American with a hint of contemporary. Very clean and comfortable feel. Anna and her fathers (the owners), are pleasant people with an excellent idea of what customer service should be.
I had a wonderfully quiet and relaxing stay here. This location is close to many restaurants and shops in walking distance. I enjoyed their flower gardens and a calm cup of coffee on their rocking chair porch.I highly recommend a stay. Thank you for taking such care of a beautiful property!
