Chili's Grill - Montgomery

Came here for dinner tonight and I gotta say that it was absolutely fantastic!! We shared an appetizer of chips and salsa, my companion had the old timer burger with cheese, fries and a salad and I had the chicken fajitas. All of it was fresh, hot and delicious!! The service by James was absolutely exceptional, he kept our drinks filled and graciously handled our requests for anything we needed. And the place was nice and clean, and it was good to see that it had been remodeled too! We will definitely come back!!

Rice was burnt and crunchy. Steak was more than rare and chewy. Not sure what’s up with their Coke machine, but the Coke and Dr. Pepper tasted horrible. They tasted like all the different flavors mixed together. Then, we had a coupon and the server told us we couldn’t use it, but her explanation as to why didn’t add up. So, to ensure she wasn’t mistaken, I asked to speak to the manager so he could explain it to me. And, I know, it’s become such a thing when someone asks to speak to the manager, but, in the end, the server was wrong. The manager very gladly discounted our check. From that point forward, the server had an attitude. She didn’t even say thank you when she handed me my change. Chili’s in Montgomery, Al. has not, and will never, change.

Waited forever to get our food. I think they were short of staff. Most of the food was pretty good, especially loved the mashed potatoes! The steak was supposed to be medium well but looked more medium rare! Only real complaint. The waitress seemed a little harried but she was friendly regardless.

Food was good but they need to stop advertising the free chips and salsa or nonalcoholic beverage daily for reward members if they don’t honor it. I went with my bf few days ago and asked about the beverage being complimentary since I signed up for the reward program. I was told by the server that it only applied to people with the discount reward in their account, well that defeats the purpose of signing up if I have to wait til they send me one. What’s the point of advertising that it’s daily no matter when you go that you would get one of the items for free if we would need the actual coupon in order to redeem it. That’s my only issue other than that everything else was good.

There was one server that took ownership for my server's table. I loved him. The hostess was unprofessional and wiped my table with a dirty rag and left water everywhere even on our seats. She brought me napkins for me to clean it myself instead of drying it. She was the WORST hostess I've ever experienced.
