La Molienda - Montevideo

At first glance it looks like another “dietética”/health shop, but in the back is the cafeteria with many gluten-free options. In the freezer they had a lot to choose: empanadas, pies, pascualinas, pastas, etc. I chose a frozen Pascualina and they heated it up and served it in the dining room. Great place if you are in store on gluten-free treats!

The back corner of the store is full of vegan frozen meats, cheeses, yogurts and more! there is a whole bulk foods section as well and lots of grains. a small place overall but a surprising amount of vegan goods!

I have been living near La Molienda and go there often. They have great coffee, pies, and lots of vegan options in the grocery. The price is good for Montevideo standards. Totally worth it

Very nice place. It is a small supermarket with a lot of good stuff. In the back they have a restaurant with very very nice things. Salads, empanadas, cakes. Very much choice and delicious

La Molienda is an ideal spot to grab a snack and a coffee. They offer a variety of vegan empanadas, with different options available each day, some of which are salt-free. The whole grain dough is delicious! They also offer coffee with almond milk and seating upstairs. In addition to their empanadas, they have a selection of vegan to-go options including full meals, frozen milanesas, cakes, imported products, and a bulk section.
