His offers are always seasonal and strictly fresh, not only a pleasure for the eye but very tasty and perfectly balanced. Giselle, the new soul of the dining room, will charm anybody with her very professional but friendly service, always with a big smile. There is a short menu but due to the open kitchen we can tell that all is freshly made. We’ve ordered some bread and cheese as a starter, pasta and pigeon, finishing with some desserts. I've al... read more I am a chef, restaurateur, tour operator from San Francisco, California. I have brought many groups to several locations in Italy for the last 22 years. I've also had the great fortune of being able to travel to Italy frequently and have eaten in some of the very best restaurants in Italy. I was really surprised and delighted when friends of mine from Montevarchi brought me to an unassuming restaurant there, Barlèsh, owned and operated by Francesco Berardinelli. In a few words, the food was absolutely stunning. It was a few months ago and still I recall every dish. What a talented and gifted chef with an exquisite palate! If you’re passing through Montevarchi (A1-Valdarno/Chianti Exit), do not miss it!
