Tea shops are hard to find in Monterey so we decided to give this place a shot despite it not having an authentic Taiwanese appearance.The classic milk tea had a rich and dark flavor which is different but surprisingly delicious! We ordered 25% sugar which was perfect. The boba was old though and tasted stale.The Secret Garden was way too sweet even though we ordered it with 0% sugar. I would suggest revising the recipes (proportions of fruit syrups) and using a stronger green tea. However, I liked the fresh fruit bits which added nice texture!My biggest complaint is the paper straws. While I appreciate the initiative to be more eco-friendly, the straws soon became mushy which made enjoying my drink difficult.
