I discovered a Mediterranean grocery store and restaurant near Monterey Bay. I decided to try it out because it was Halal. The menu was limited to basic Mediterranean dishes with options for chicken and beef/lamb. I tried the Chicken Shawarma Wrap, Beef Shawarma Wrap, and Baklava with pistachio flavor. Love this market! I just visited again after moving back to the area and it seems as if the stock has greatly expanded. There is a wider variety of Arabic and Jordanian seasonings from what I recall. Family run and very friendly. If you love authentic Middle Eastern food take out, including lamb or vegetarian, this is one stop shopping and feel good about supporting a small, local business.
