What Julia Armstrong doesn't like about Elks Lodge #1285 Monterey:
beautiful swimming pool, but the RV rooms are only too small for today's slip-laden large rigs. we only have a small pendant, but between two massive things, with popouts that penetrate on both sides of our room was not very pleasant. View all feedback.
I have to say that this is a private organization that requires membership to enter. That being said, folks are invited to join provided they have a sponsor.
Asphalt lot with 50 amp power and water hook ups for our space. Dump on site. Some sites dry camping.. Pass card for gym, shower hot tub and sauna. Pool on site closed in winter. A little awkward to get to the lodge narrow roads with lots of overhanging foliage. Lodge cuurently only open on wednesday.
First time there as a guest. Great place and great people!

On Wednesday nights, they host special dinners that require reservations, but unfortunately we missed out. However, this past Friday they had food available from 11-1:30, which was surprisingly delicious.
