Wonderful Italian seafood restaurant on the wharf in old Monterey. Pics of many celebrities who've visited at the entrance. Excellent ambiance particularly on the upper level. Not to be missed. Parking: No parking at wharf, must walk aways. 2nd level only accessible via narrow stairs. View all feedback.
What Silvia Bononi doesn't like about Café Fina:
Tourist trap. I'm sorry, but for me it's a big NO. The only thing I can save Is the wine (Piper brut Sonoma). We are italian and that is almost an insult to Italian cuisine, but the biggest problem was that food was not freshly cooked, but warmed up. The result was we waited only about ten minutes to have mediocre dishes with the wrong consistencies and paid way too much for the quality and quantity. Absolutely not r... View all feedback.
The food at this restaurant deserves a perfect 10 out of 10, with the fish and chips being incredibly fresh and delightful, and the sourdough bowl topped with cheese tasting like heavenly French bread. The service provided was also exceptional. The only drawback was the lack of filtered water, as the tap water provided did not have a pleasant taste.
Fresh local food served by a friendly well trained staff.

First I have to thank Monterey Whale Watch for recommending this absolutely fabulous restaurant. The food was excellent. Your artichoke appetizer is delicious (i personally can do without the aioli). Your veal picatta with those capers mmmmmm so good. And your pizza was cooked perfect with just that slight char. It honestly reminds me of the food my grandmother made in Providence growing up.
We just had an absolutely delicious lunch at Café Fina. The service was outstanding, and the food was top-notch. Little literally every dish that came out was absolutely delicious, beautiful flavors. We will definitely be returning!
