Alta Bakery Cafe - Monterey

Went there to have lunch on the way to SF.We had to wait a couple of minutes to order as there was a small queue outside.We had the carrot and ginger soup, the chicken salad sandwich and the obligatory avo toast.The soup was pretty good, it came with a thicc piece of bread. The chicken sandwich was delicious as well, but the avocado toast wasn't that good, had better in many places, the bread was too thicc and very lightly toasted, too much avocado, the green strawberries the red radish didn't go as well with the avocado.. just good for the photo.Very nice atmosphere, with a big outdoor garden inside.They also have many pastries that we didn't try but looked delicious!

Really cute bakery with backyard seating with lots of different flowers. Pet friendly. We got the hot chocolate, latte, cream puff with hazelnut, and chocolate croissant, and everything was delicious. They also have indoor seating. This place was busy when we got there around 10:30 am. It's definitely worth a visit.

The vibe, the pastries, the coffee, the location all of it was perfect. This place was recommended by a friend who is local and I appreciate her for sharing this spot. The outdoor sitting area made me feel like I was in Mexico. Such a great place and deserves so much more than 5 stars.

Awesome bakery with delicious croissants and coffee. Several large communal tables and bar seats to enjoy them. Highly recommend on the next visit to Carmel/Monterey!

Pastries all look amazing wish I could try them all. Especially the cinnamon loaf, which was only sold in full loaf size. Was satisfied with the lavender latte. 5 stars for the garden and patio, lovely setting.
