Ristorante Bar Da Gino - MONTEPULCIANO

We had a most delicious lunch at Gino's! Excellent food and a lovely super clean environment! I recommend it to friends and family always and now in particular during Covid for you will find peace and comfort!

We dined here with a group of eight and everyone seemed satisfied. The restaurant is located on the south shore of Lago Chiusi, not far from the Etruscan tomb region. Fish, pasta, pizza and all the usual were on the menu. Food was reasonably priced and tasty. Free WIFI. I would go again when in the area.

This is a nice, family run trattoria by the lake. The homemade pastas are quite good and the persico with butter and sage is a favorite second plate. The prices for both food and wine are reasonable.

Although only 10 minutes drive from our home, yesterday, Sunday, was our first visit. Situated on the lake, ample parking, clean and spacious. Menu was wonderful and extensive, featuring much from the lake, all artfully prepared and excellent. House red wine was good. They were very busy this Sunday lunch, but the service was very good. We will return soon, probably this Friday.

Placed on the shore of what remains of the ancient Chiana marsh (the socalled Chiaro di Chiusi , Gino is located in an odd, simple building with no real attracts. It is not to be stopped by this... just step in and have anything it displayed in the menu... you will forget everything else (furniture and everything is really old fashioned, a kind of vintage that in some way may be fascinating.. . Lake fish fashioned in excellent way, not to miss smoked tech noodles as well as deep fried perch filets, but overall the socalled Brustico, perch filets roasted on crushed canes with olive oil and paisley. It's an area must visit.
