Our GPS had pulled up a number of restaurants in the city, and the first... read more We were looking for a nice luncheon spot as we drove into Montefiascone on via Cassia. Our GPS had pulled up a number of restaurants in the city, and the first we came to was Da Roland . I spied their spacious parking lot so we turned in. We were welcomed as we entered and invited to a table of our choice; all of which were attractively set. The dinning area was appealing, comfortable, and clean. Our waitress appeared promptly, and from that point on, we were beautifully served by a very capable person. Their specialities are grilled meats, roasts, and fish from the lakes and the sea. The menu provides a wide selection.The seafood salad was good and the fillet of sole was excellent, with skillet fried sliced potatoes. We enjoyed a half bottled of regional wine which was quite nice. Dessert, espresso, and grappa finished a delightful repast.
