Lots of local specialities and this gave us a feel for the area and the food. Was a little overwhelming for the kids but was highly enjoyable.
Yesterday one of my Swiss friends celebrated her birthday in this family run restaurant. We were with 6, half Dutch half Swiss. My friend knows the owners quite well and they had made a.o. the lovely Caneloni filled with asparagus and ham in a Bechamel sauce. They even baked a cake for her birthday and we had a lovely get-together here.
Today I had a lovely lunch at this restaurant with 5 friends. It is a family owned business, the staff is very friendly, the food is excellent. The staff is very flexible with regards to special wishes and we felt very welcome. I prefer to eat meatless but still the antipasti and the primi offered enough choice. For desert I had a tiramisu which was not the best tiramisu ever but OK. All of my friends ordered secondi's because they eat meat. The wine was good, the coffee excellent. The ambiance is a typical Italian affair, plain, clean. We split the bill and everybody paid 26 euros.
We stopped by chance.... excellent genuine and home cooking... very kind person.
