Vanilla Heaven - Montclair

Hi Gov! Maria Carmen here...we're definitely coming back! Tiramisu and coffee were extremely delicious, fresh and tasty! The ambiance was very nice and cozy and you are such an amazing host!

Mediocre at best. Cakes are rubbery, dry, and generally bland. Creams are waxy and the mousse is … acceptable? Overpriced for quality you receive and think there are many better places you can get a fantastic/divine dessert for the same price or less

I don't know if it was for everything or nothing that I deviated from Bloomfield Avenue to enter Vanilla Heaven. I seem to attract attention and I'm always seeking places of refuge. So on a whim I ventured into a new place. They had four types of ice cream and I ordered a most delicious chocolate chip. Being a friendly guy I started to sing and talk a little. Soon I was engaged in conversation with Ari. In comfort on the black couches I slowly consumed my ice cream. I asked about the business and he told me that there is far more to the place then simply what I saw. He said that they do wedding cakes which they have for pick up and delivery. I promised Ari that I would do this review. They're good people and I make a habit of supporting fine establishments in Montclair when I find them. They have coffee Frappe whatever that is. Sounds enticing and the next time I visit I will take a curious taste. The young lady I met working there was the owner's daughter which really impressed me. All in all Vanilla Heaven is an all American store (in the good sense of a Woody Guthrie America) and in my opinion the best ice cream. I know there are other fine establishments in Montclair but this one you can actually walk to while one does their shopping and such in the area. Check em out and allow them to show you what they got. And hey, I do such fine writing. you tell Ari that you want me to write you a personal poem, wedding vows, etc. he's got my contact information. Most seriously my wife is suffering from dementia and anything that distracts me from that is a pleasant escape. Ari made me feel like family in a few minutes. He was kind, respectful, polite and he has a skill that so many are lacking, he is a good listener.

My husband and I ordered 2 of the banana cake a triple chocolate mousse cup and an Oreo milkshake and the only thing that was good was the milkshake. The cake was so dry and stale as if it was on its way to expire we couldn’t even finish it. The cake pieces on top of the mousse was dry and the consistency of the mousse was thick and gelatinous not soft and creamy how I expected mousse to taste. If you have a sweet tooth this will not crave it. Vanilla heaven more like a taste buds hell. We ordered from door dash and I must say it was a total waste of 32 dollars

I stopped in one day to satisfy a sweet tooth, and the helpful gentleman behind the counter suggested the cheesecake, tres leches, and vanilla heaven cakes. I took home a slice of each and my husband and I devoured them. I loved the vanilla heaven so much that I went back the next to day to order one for my mother 's birthday (with strawberries on top, this time). Everybody at her party raved about how authentically fresh and homemade (i.e. not processed) the cake tasted. Ev
