Cute local spot. I love Colombian food. I just got a basic grilled chicken meal to go so I can’t speak too much to their offerings. But it was good enough that I will be back and the portion size was good. The pastries in front smelled amazing. I’ll try those next. View all feedback.
What Maria T doesn't like about Sabor De Mi Tierra:
My boyfriend and I ordered to pick up a churrasco well done with a side of maduros and French fries. When he gets here, the churrasco is still **** and not well done so we call and they ask us to bring the churrasco back and they’ll give us a new well done churrasco. By this time our maduros and fries get cold. Also, the maduros tasted really weird and smelled sort of like burnt plastic. Fast forward to the new churr... View all feedback.
I really wanted to love my dish, but unfortunately, the chicken was bland and quite dry. On the bright side, the shrimp was delicious! My husband's steak, however, was tough and chewy, and it also could have used some more seasoning—a little salt would have made a difference. Overall, it was an average experience. While I thoroughly enjoyed the empanada and the shrimp, I have unfortunately had better meals at other Colombian restaurants.
The carne asada with arepa con queso is absolutely delicious, and the food overall is fantastic! However, the only downside is that it gets quite warm inside due to the lack of air conditioning, making it less enjoyable to dine indoors during the summer.
The restaurant features a delightful interior adorned with lovely decorations, and the staff is both friendly and welcoming. For our appetizers, we chose the empanadas and guacamole with tostones. While the empanadas, filled with beef and potato, were good, the guacamole did not stand out, so you might want to consider a different choice. My partner ordered the bistec encebollado, which he thoroughly enjoyed for its rich flavors. The plantains were fantastic, the rice was cooked to perfection, and the onions were beautifully caramelized. Overall, it was a solid dish that we both appreciated.
