What Christina Carbonell doesn't like about Cafè Giotto:
It was ok. I have yet to find a really great Italian place in the area. I thought the bolognese tasted like Asian food. It had a very weird taste. It was a very thin sauce and the flavor was odd and unappealing. I was very disappointed. I don't understand messing up sauce either.... it is supposed to be simple, fresh ingredients and yet, most restaurants in the area cannot seem to make good (never mind great) sauce.... The service at the restaurant was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. However, the food seemed like it had been prepared in advance and merely warmed up. The pasta was overcooked, the potatoes were dry, the pasta sauce was watery, and the roasted vegetables were mushy. While the dishes were well-chosen and crafted by a skilled chef, it appears that a decision was made to pre-cook everything, which was quite disappointing. What a shame!
Cafe Giotto offers exceptional food and outstanding service. I frequently order delivery, and they consistently arrive on time. Occasionally, they even add a little extra treat to my order, like a dessert or a muffin for the next day. It doesn't happen every time, but now and then, when they seem to have extras available, it’s a delightful surprise. Their delicious cuisine and attentive service make you feel truly appreciated.
It was just average. I still haven't found an exceptional Italian restaurant in the area. I thought the bolognese tasted more like Asian food—it had a peculiar flavor that I found unappealing. The sauce was very thin, and the taste was quite strange. I was quite disappointed. I don't understand how restaurants can struggle with sauce; it should be made with simple, fresh ingredients. Yet, many places around here seem unable to create a good sauce, let alone a great one. Perhaps I’m just spoiled from being in Brooklyn, but it’s hard to believe that none of them can get it right.
Went there for a coffee. It was good. I also had a donut and it was delicious.
First time experiencing this place it was amazing . Service was great, Matt took care of us he was lovely and answered all our questions made great recommendations which we ordered. Joe was also helpful with recommendations . It was great I can’t wait to come back and try something new.
