Dropped by to get some bread from the new Bivio in Montclair. I am a former frequent customer (and fan) of their Little Falls restaurant and you can't go wrong with Bivio. The bread was delicious. Crusty outside and soft and fluffy inside. Perfect for sandwich or just dip in salted olive oil (like I did). Can't wait for the pizza to return later this year!!! View all feedback.
What CatDog doesn't like about Bivio Pizza Napoletana:
Salumi/cheese plate and Arugula salad straight out of Costco. That"s not a bad thing but just saying.Pizza was undercooked, The middle was wet and colllapsed when you picked it up..the description also said garlic and none was detectable. Place living on reputation. Got a better pie at our basic, local pizza place. Do t waste your time. View all feedback.
I have been going to Bivio with my wife and family for at least two-three years now. For a stretch, I was away from them for a couple months and let me tell you, I forgot how incredible the food and experience was. Tomaso and Jackie are some of the most welcoming people you could ask for. Sometimes you go into restaruants and you just do not get that inviting feeling or kindness at the door. We truly feel like family walking in there (not only because we go there once or twice a month) but genuinely to everyone who walks in the door. The wait staff is excellent, pleasant, accommodating, kind, and considerate. Oh yeah, the food. From top to bottom of the menu, the salads are refreshing and delicious, the pizza is out of this world. I highly recommend trying the San Marzano which is just a pie with sauce, oregano, and a little parmesan sprinkled on top. It honestly is refreshing to find that type of pie today as it is so simple. The special pies are always fantastic from the seasonal pies, with pumpkin in fall and lemon in the summer. Tomaso is always willing to try these flavor combinations that surprise you. You can tell this man puts his soul into the pies that he puts out every night. And lastly, the cheesecake for dessert. Try whatever is on the menu. The term silky takes on a whole new meaning. Highly Highly Highly recommend this small little gem. In fact, I am going tonight!
Incredibly well made pizza with ultra flavorful crust. Lemon and sopressata version is a must if available

Super crusty delicious fresh breads!! Don't walk RUN to Bivio Panificio!
Wonderful, sensuous, real bread and just up my street. Savor the aroma, then enjoy the cutting or breaking of the bread and finally the feel, taste and texture. Promise you'll be back for more. Thank you Bivio!
