Ani Ramen House - Montclair

Great atmosphere, food served in timely manner and great management !

If you’re in search of a delicious meal, this restaurant should definitely be on your list of places to visit in Montclair,NJ. The staff if friendly and kitchen is efficient. They don't keep you waiting when you're starving. Their Pork Shoyu Ramen has excellent flavor and features a savory and deeply satisfying broth with tender, flavorful pork that almost melts in your mouth. The richness of the broth, combined with perfectly cooked noodles, makes every spoonful a delight. No review would be completed with out a minor recommendation to management for improvement. The only minor flaw is that the music is loud, which slightly detracts from the otherwise excellent dining experience. So if you're seeking a quiet meal you will find the music a bit disruptive. The volume was too loud for an effortless conversation. I found myself frustrated with the effort required to listen and respond. Nevertheless, this spot is a must-visit for anyone craving top-notch ramen. I can recommend the No.1 Shoyu Ramen (Pork), Bao Buns, and the Rice Bowl (Pork). This was not my first or second visit. I find that their consistency of delicious flavor is a true testament of quality and excellence. I am certain to return.

Please be ware of lack of cleanliness! I ordered a bottle of water and asked for a straw, the host who had just touched the monitor and his phone handed me a straw WITH HIS BARE HANDS. I took the bottle an decided I’d drink directly from it while I waited for my food. I then watched the same host/waiter pick up directly cups my the rim to take to the kitchen and wipe his hands on his pants. He then attempted to bring me my food with his fingers on the plate. I left the restaurant and will not be returning. The manager Jada came outside to see if she could help but after that disgusting display there’s nothing further that can be done to get me to eat there.

Having tried many different ramens in the area, I was disappointed by the flavoring of the broths, the quality of the noodles that were used, and the quality of the meats. Yes we had pork belly in our broths (and we know it’s a fatty meat) however the ones we had were literally all fat. Their chicken karaage were like fried chicken nuggets with sauce. Disappointed in this place despite the hype. Our server was super nice and the manager checked in on us, service was impeccable, however the food was subpar.
