What familywithtwoteens doesn't like about Hilltop At Montauk Manor:
We had a family wedding in Montauk this weekend and made reservations months ago for a Thursday night- Sunday stay. I came down with Covid this Tuesday which changed our plans as I had to quarantine (besides feeling horrid). I called Tuesday to cancel with an explanation and a legitimate doctor's test showing that I tested positive (not a home test) and was told that I was too late (within 10 days) and that there wou... Overall, a good bite for myself the family.Drinks are pretty strong (not a terrible thing)Appetizers were tasty (the crispy mozzarella was to die for), the sauteed Brussels sprouts were a good choice as well.On to the mains, the hilltop burger was good, although it was slightly undercooked (asked for well, it came back medium well), the penne a la vodka was cooked nicely with chunks of parmesan (loved it).Our waitress was terrific and was genuinely helpful but was sadly overbooked (she was there by herself).Kid-friendliness: They had a high chair for our son which was helpful
We had an excellent meal at the Hilltoplast evening. Rockefeller stuffed mushrooms were amazing. Fish was fresh, beautifully presented and deliciously prepared. Staff was friendly and helpful.it was our first visit. We will definitely be back.
Fantastic spot in Montauk. A historic hotel with great food. The people running the cafe put their all into making you feel comfortable being there. Try the hash. They doctor it up nicely

I called Tuesday to cancel with an explanation and a legitimate doctor's test showing that I tested positive (not a home test) and was told that I was too late (within 10 days) and that there would not be a refund. If I wasn't 6 hour car trip away, I would have have been tempted to go just to spread my germs to the front desk folks who were less than helpful. $1200 bucks wasted. Think VERY CAREFULLY before you book here.
We booked our yearly trip off season midweek. I just love everything about this property and building. At first I was sad to learn the indoor pool was still under renovation- as my kids love to swim. I was pleasantly surprised to learn the outdoor pool was still open and heated. It was just beautiful. We usually go later in the fall- this was a brand new experience for us.
