The menu was rather limited and the por... read more Went for lunch and the pleasant walled gardens were not open (they are in the evening), so we were seated in the cellar. The menu was rather limited and the portions, when they arrived (service was not quick) were tiny, unlike the prices. I did enjoy what I locate. In the evening, there is a fixed price offering for around 35 euros which seems better value, though we were not temped to return.

We were really happy with our salad starter, generous potion and the steak was excellent. Definitely recommended

The town is a centre for jamon Iberico and the menu is meat orientated.Their speciality is top quality dehesa grazed pork and beef though we did have a platter of grilled vegetables one night and there are salads, wild mushroom risotto and fish. Very friendly service though a few words of Spanish came in handy. There's a good range of local wines not easily obtained outside Extremadura. The restaurant is in the cellar of a large house and is nicely broken up by arches with spaces for different sizes of parties. Very generous portions we didn't manage a dessert in four visits.

Modern Spanish cuisine. 6 courses, coffee, water and wine for 35 euro pp; also unbeatable price-quality value.
