The campsite is really very pleasant, each pitch very spacious, trees, shade, view of the pond, access to very clean sanitary facilities, pétanque games available, barbecue, catering for those who wish, pleasant beach area, fresh bread service on morning,... A very warm welcome from very available and very competent managers. We highly recommend this campsite and all the services offered to us! Five stars!!! View all feedback.
What Stuart B doesn't like about La Cabane, Montaigu Plage, Montaigu-de-quercy:
Don't know. Sadly the site is completely closed from end of August. Not even able to just take a walk around the lake. Don't know if Cabane open even though camping is open as no information provided. No hours posted on Google maps and nothing on signs at the gate. Beautiful weather, but closed for months. The dish and the dessert were dry. We were a group of several to be disappointed with the food served. The atmosphere is nice and the staff pleasant.

Very nice place, fresh produce and a magnificent view.

Situated on the edge of the beautiful Montaigu Plage and surrounded by forests, you'll think you've arrived in heaven. We parked the car in the public carpark, and walked up onto the dam wall, turn right and walk along the very easy 500m little track between the forest and the lake. I assume its possible to take your car if you don't want to walk. The two owners do a different menu every night of the week, and we were lucky to get the Japanese menu, which was exciting, tasty and fresh. There's a little bar, and lovely frog sounds from the lake. The service was friendly and impeccable. We walked back to the car on the far side of the lake, and we had an altogether memorable evening. I would definitely recommend this little restaurant, as it's so refreshing to have a menu with a difference.
