What Melissa M doesn't like about China King:
I am extremely disappointed with this restaurant. I ordered a soup, a pupu for one, and some mei fun noodles. They told me it would take 30-40 minutes, but it ended up being 70 minutes before the food arrived. The pupu was soggy and cold, although it tasted okay. Eating was over-cooked. eating is roughly over price over boiled / dry small portion delivery over a hr barely any sauce will not go when it was free
I ordered delivery from this restaurant and was told it would arrive in 35-50 minutes, which was impressive for a Friday night. After an hour passed, I called to inquire about my order and was told it was ready. Another hour went by, so I called again and was informed that the driver had left 10 minutes ago. When the food finally arrived, I was offered a free 2-liter cola, which was a nice gesture but I don't drink soda. The beef with broccoli was so soft and questionable that I ended up giving it to my dogs. The chicken lo mein was okay, but not particularly tasty. The fried wontons were cold and difficult to chew. The wonton soup lacked flavor and seemed more like noodles. The only redeeming dish was the egg rolls, which I found delicious even though they were cold. I was excited to have a Chinese restaurant deliver to my area, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. I may have to look elsewhere for my Chinese food fix in the future.
I am extremely disappointed with this restaurant. I ordered a soup, a pupu for one, and some mei fun noodles. They told me it would take 30-40 minutes, but it ended up being 70 minutes before the food arrived. The pupu was soggy and cold, although it tasted okay. I believe it would have been good if it had been hot and fresh. The beef mei fun was overcooked and had a bad taste. The soup was terrible - it consisted of three soggy dumplings, fried pork strips, and noodles in a watery broth. To make matters worse, when I added up the total, it came to $30 before tax. However, when they arrived, they charged me $38 and did not provide a receipt. This is very shady.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I ordered a soup, appetizer for one, and some stir-fried noodles. They had promised a 30-40 minute wait time, but it ended up taking 70 minutes for my food to arrive. The appetizer was soggy and cold, although it still tasted okay. The stir-fried noodles were overcooked and unpleasant to eat. The soup was terrible, with soggy noodles, fried pork strips, and noodles that tasted like water. To make matters worse, when I received the bill, it was $30 as originally quoted, but they charged me $38 and did not provide a receipt. This seems very untrustworthy and dishonest.
The restaurant, now called New China Food, has shown improvement since my last visit. The owners are friendly and the portions are generous. The menu has also been updated with some changes.
