This restaurant is right next to the old town hall in Bonn, to the left as you are looking at it. We ate here twice during a 5 day visit to Bonn. The first time we sat inside as outside was too busy. The interior decor is nice and feels very traditional, and some German acquaintances took us here as they felt it would offer some more traditional German dishes, which it does. Our waiter was a pleasant chap who spoke decent English, even though we spoke German as much as we could. My partner had the pork knuckle which came with mashed potato and sauerkraut. It was a good portion, no complaints. I had a pork chop with a creamy mushroom sauce, served with fries. Again, not bad. Our daughter had a 'Flammkuchen' which was disappointing, like a poor man's pizza. The beer we had was ok but nothing special. Service was very slow but at least it was friendly on this occasion...On our second visit we sat outside. Our waiter this time was a more surly character. Again, he spoke some English although we did speak to him on German. Our dishes all seemed fine, apart from my partner's. She had a dish called "Brauerpfanne", several items served together in a pan. Not bad, apart from the half tomato that had been filled with raw, uncooked bacon pieces, then covered in melted cheese. No word of a lie, this was fatty, completely uncooked, chopped bacon. It might have worked, had the bacon been cooked. The waiter didn't come back to check on us at all, or offer any more drinks. When we'd finished he came over and started to clear the table. I told him in German that it was all good, apart from the bacon on my partner's dish because it was cold and actually uncooked. He just muttered "Ok", and carried on his merry way, taking the plates away. No word of apology or slight reduction of the bill, nothing. This incident left a nasty taste in our mouths, and I'm not sure if we would eat there again because of this. A real shame, as up until this point we'd experienced pretty good service in the various places we'd been to in Bonn. For dessert, I recommend the ice cream place on the opposite side of the square.

Always delicious. Super friendly service. At noon always delicious. The raspberry has tasted very delicious
The operators are particularly attractive and extremely binding. This makes me absolutely enjoy every visit. The chairs are very pleasant and the distance between the tables I find especially suitable. There you will certainly not get the feeling of eating fish on can evening. The selection of drinks felt my siblings and I didn't feel bad! It's good and we had a nice afternoon.
After shopping we always go there to eat and look forward to the warm atmosphere, friendly, fast staff and dishes you grew up with. The portions have a good size and the food tastes homemade.
