I heard that the Monroeville location was closing soon, so I drove all the way from Southern Maryland to check it out. It did not disappoint! The food was incredible, and the customer service was outstanding. The game selection was fantastic, too. The venue itself is quite spacious, with a great exterior to admire. I truly love this location, and I'm sad to see it go. As for vegetarian options, they offer salads and cheese pizza. Regarding dietary restrictions, I've noticed that the pizza here is greasier compared to other locations, but they do have some good salads. Parking can be a bit of a challenge; on Fridays, the lot fills up quickly, and it's rather small. And for families, it's definitely kid-friendly, which is quite clear.
Chuck E. Cheese in Monroeville is terrible. The staff sucks. They had a brand new girl on the register and messed up my order. It took the 5 staff almost 20 minutes to figure out what she did wrong. No one offered us an apology. Not even the girl who caused the situation. We literally had to show them our bank account to prove that the transaction went through. Eventually, they compensated my entire order. The price was astronomical. Even with the the food be compensated, I still spent a pretty good amount of money on nothing. They literally put my child’s Dippin Dots that was $7 in a sample sized cup. Chuckie only came out one time during our visit, and he only interacted with the kids whose birthday party it was. I would rather take my money and go elsewhere. It is not like it used to be at all.
The food isn’t as bad as I thought it would be, even if it wasn’t any good. I think they are understaffed as no one was at the door checking kids when they left like the website said they would. Wasn’t as much to do as I thought there would be. Overall, a little underwhelming for the prices they charge. Kids loved the light up floor.
