The atmosphere inside was cozy, but I found the decor to be a bit lacking in warmth. While the menu wasn't extensive, I had a few different options to choose from. I ultimately decided on the Cobb salad, which was delicious. The grilled chicken was also well-seasoned and tasty. The girls in my group chose to have brunch and they were pleased with their omelets, grits, and biscuits. The restaurant is conveniently loca... View all feedback.
What Laurie doesn't like about South On Broad:
The portion size was too small for the high cost. I ordered a bowl of coleslaw and it was unpleasant - it seemed to be straight out of the bag with no dressing. The waitress then asked if we wanted some extra hush puppies and brought us only two. View all feedback.
My wife and I made a last-minute decision to go out for dinner on Sunday. Even though South on Broad was about to close for the day, they still treated us like royalty. The service was outstanding, the food was perfect, and the dessert was excellent. This is a great place to eat!
My fiancé and I both ordered NY Strip Steaks at this restaurant. The waitress was friendly, but our table was in a corner and it seemed like she was overwhelmed. The overall wait staff was lacking. Our starters (Crab Artichoke Dip and Pretzels) were delicious. However, the rest of the dinner did not go well. My fiancé's steak was cooked rare instead of medium rare as she had requested. The waitress offered us a 50% discount on our meal but refused to bring another steak. This level of service is unacceptable, management. We will not be returning. This is how you lose customers.

We have found our new favorite place in downtown Monroe. We really enjoy their wings and chicken sandwich. We also think Blake is pretty cool.
The male bartenders were disrespectful and unprofessional, and they were rude to my wife. The food was not worth the price. I would not recommend this restaurant for families with children because foul language was used. Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100.
