Nice cozy! LOVE the vintage dinette chairs. Got the roast beef poboy with gravy and sweet potato fries. The gravy should be a drink! Hands down the best sweet potato fries ever! View all feedback.
What Clay Moncrief doesn't like about Magic Grill:
All the food was good, but not as good as in the past. A dinner partner and I had shrimp po boys. They were tasty in the shrimp were well fried, but I thought the french fries were a bit overcooked. I had been raving to my friend, it was visiting from out of town, about how wonderful the gravy always was. Today, he died independently came to the same conclusion that it was from a mix and excessively salty Service was... View all feedback.
You could not pay me in a Million Dollars to eat here. There was a whole NAIL in my food. When I unwrapped the burger the NAIL fell out. I called to report what happened and went back with the food to get my refund. I felt sorry for the people that were in there eating knowing that someone in that kitchen did not wear gloves to prepare the food. Utterly disgusting!!!!
Despite the 4 star rating, I think it should be a 4.7. The turnip greens were really good fresh. The black-eyed peas seemed undercooked though, but fresh. They had the thickest French bread, but the thinnest pork chop... The pork chop was as thin as sandwich meat. The brownie was really delicious. The staff is super friendly the place was really clean. They had hand sanitizer in two different places in the dining room. Great atmosphere. Despite the thinly sliced pork chop the undercooked black-eyed peas, this place was still really worth the money we spent!
Good prices and great, fresh food. I have always heard good things and I was not disappointed! I will be going back frequently.
Best roast beef poboy you can find. The gravy is what makes it. Fries are fresh cut and good.
The best roast beef po-boys and homemade fries with lots of gravy! Plate lunches available all day but they can be hit or miss, depending on the cook.
