The food was not fresh tastin... read more I was excited to try something new and thought the food would be good based off the reviews. Couldn?t have been more disappointed. The food was not fresh tasting and low quality. I?m not a fussy eater at all, but my eggplant rollatini wasinedible I had to throw it away. The sauce was watered down and greasy and the cheese tasted spoiled. My husband ordered acheese steak sandwich and I clearly stated twice no mushrooms when I ordered over the phone. We come home and there are loads ofmushrooms on it. He is highly allergic to mushrooms and could have gotten very sick if he ate it. We will stick to Marinas andPlanet Pizza! Never had issues there and have been going for years.

I can’t say for sure if the Pope blesses every batch of sauce, but their pizza is quite possibly the best I’ve ever had. I've sampled pizza all over the city, in different states, and throughout New York, and I can confidently say that Amendola's is number one.

We've ordered catered food from them for parties and professional gatherings, and we've never been disappointed. Our guests have always given us positive feedback as well!

Whenever we have the chance to visit New York, this is always our first stop! Living in the South, we just can't find pizza like New York pizza. It's similar, but nothing quite compares. I highly recommend this restaurant! Looking forward to our next visit!

We used to dine here frequently (maybe once or twice a week) over the past 5-10+ years ago. Amendola’s used to be great under the original ownership, which would be Sam and his family. However, the last couple times I stopped in over the past few months, we wanted to dine in at the back but walked out instead. It was completely eerie with no one there except for me and my dad unlike how it used to be busy/hopping with other people. I’m not trying to talk down about anybody or anything, but if you’re coming here I’d say stick to doing take-out or eating up front (for now). Until they resolve the dine-in atmosphere in the back, I will NOT be coming back. Nonetheless, the food I remember used to be great and it probably still is (despite ownership changes). Though due to the bad dining experiences this year, we’ll be taking my business somewhere else. And that’s a review.
