Panificio Campanella - MONREALE

Don't go here. The price literally doubles the moment he finds out you are a tourist. The girl behind the counter was friendly but spoke no English. Payment had to go via what was probably the (grumpy) owner. I later found out I paid double the price of what a local pays. The products are OK but nothing special. How I was treated as a tourist definitely left a sour taste though. You're better off spending your money elsewhere.

Ho mangiato un pane cunzato spettacolare..ad un prezzo onesto e la signora mi ha anche offerto il tipico biscotto locale...sono rimasta contenta dalla gentilezza e dalla bontà del pane..

Nel centro di Monreale c'è un panificio che offre una buona selezione... Ho preso reginelle e biscotti di Monreale a 12 euro al chilo. Peccato che una volta aperti fossero tutti bruciati sotto e non visibili perché messi direttamente nel sacchetto al momento dell'acquisto... peccato. I pasticcini da asporto ricoperti di glassa erano super asciutti, ma non so se siano così di loro natura o se dovrebbero essere più umidi.

I am from Palermo but I'm writing in English so that more people can read this. This place has good food but the prices are absolutely unreasonable. Nowhere else in Palermo or Monreale, other than in other tourist traps, would you find pizza sold for €15/Kg. No native of Palermo would ever pay a price so high, and there are tons of places where you can buy food that is just as good and reasonably priced. DO NOT GO THERE!
