What Jamal Smitham doesn't like about Diestel Turkey Ranch:
the only thing bacon-like about diestel 's turkey bacon is that it says bacon on the packaging. otherwise, just buy yourself some cheaper turkey lunch meat, pulverize it, salt it heavily, and fry it up. because that 's what diestel turkey bacon is. if you are so curious that you just have to try this pathetic, deceptively-advertised product, have fun trying to separate the slices without them completely disintegratin... Thank you for the Best turkey I have ever cooked, I purchased a brined and seasoned turkey from Costco, the best turkey I ever had I’ll pay 3.49 a pound all day for a bird like that. Hands down the best!!
The turkey was juicy and amazing. I have 0 complaints.
This was the worst turkey I have ever made. Every turkey I have made prior to this one has been tender and flavorful. This turkey was so tough that it didn't come off the bone when it was done. It also tasted very bland because the tough texture was unable to absorb the flavor from the seasonings. It was completely inedible and went in the trash. This awful overpriced turkey cost close to $100 (20 pounds at $4.99 per pound). Don't buy into the hype about this brand because you will be very disappointed.

I have cooked two frozen Diestel turkeys in the last couple of months. They were delicious. And I like how the turkeys are raised. I am glad they are available frozen all year instead of just in November.
