This unique restaurant at the rande of the mont salève, with views of all genf on 1200 meters, will reach some effort when coming from the city. they can reach by public transport if they take the bus 8 to its end station at the...Veyrier douane and then go to the cable car (telepherique) station in france. this takes less than 10 min and is easy to find by signs. at the top of the saleve it will be a 15-20 minute foot high the hill to the Tibetan Buddhist monastery. the restaurant is connected to the monastery and around the back. it's possible to drive here, but I didn't. eating is vegetarian, presented in a self-served buffet style. remember to wear euro when coming out.

We held a vin d'honneur for our wedding here. Tatiana and her team did an amazing job of preparing for 100 guests inside and on the terrace. We were really delighted with how nicely things went. The view is amazing, and there is a wonderful...toy in the garden outside which keeps my children (aged 4 and 6) amused for hours.

I think that was the worse experience in a restaurant I've ever had. eating was lukewarm, the waitress didn't even bother to put a dish mat on us. we were three men; they first brought two forks and a knife, then took the fork, left the knife. then she brought the rest of the set and put it in the table when she gave us two serviettes for three people. eating was just the worst thing I ever had. we ordered drinks, but the drinks never came. you almost felt intimidated to ask for drinks. I can only say that next time they make a hike, just make sure they don't end up to this restaurant. while the lookout takes her breath because of its beauty, the restaurant takes personal and eat her cake because of her disgusting dine and service. and for that they pay so much.

Visited this amazing restaurant. it only works days for the moment, from midday to 18:00. the owners have changed, all the employees have changed, now there is self service, tibetian and Indian cuisine, not so great choice, but the prices are reasonable, all is tasty and fresh,I liked lety very much! will come back. P.S for lunch is better to reserve

Climbed to the top of the Saleve today in the snow and was looking forward to a drink and something warm to eat..... not too much of an ask you would think!? Ah but then I should have known not to go to this...restaurant. We arrived and were snapped at by the waitress as we suggested we might like to eat. We found a table and patiently waited as we could see she was busy. The fact that the table and plates still there were both covered in cold, congealed food, we overlooked and enjoyed getting warm and enjoying the view. This is what happened next: Waitress comes out and demands that we move to a table that is clean (this is after having sat there for 20 mins) As we move, another group arrives and she then decides we should sit at another table in a worse state than the one we were originally at. Eventually (like after 20 more mins) she comes to clean our table, then half of the table next to ours, then takes a coffee order, then maybe half another table. We ask to order and she tells us 'you will order when I am ready ' Few more minutes and we are told we 'better be ready ' and so with big smiles we order I head to the loo and while I 'm gone our drinks arrive and the other two are told apropos of nothing 'if you 're in a hurry I suggest you go somewhere else ' Another 20mins later a side dish arrives, followed 5minutes later by two mains, 10minutes later by another side dish and my main when the others have finished. So far, so terrible we just wanted to leave Think I counted 17 people who arrived, sat down, waited for a drink and gave up. This waitress did not speak to them, snapped and told them to wait if they wanted anything or told them the kitchen was closed!?!?!? So we 're still sitting there patiently waiting now for the bill and ask as politely as we can (although by this point I 'm not sure how we were staying cool), if the waitress would prefer us to wait at our table or go to the serving hatch/ kiosk? Evidently I had asked for the moon on a stick as the death stare I received was akin to a moody teenager being asked to tidy there room.... waitress stalks off Slowly we start putting our hiking gear on. Still no bill. In exasperation, go to till and ask to pay separately. Ah BIG MISTAKE. Cue histrionics that we should have advised separate bills, she is too busy for this and now other food is getting cold. Ask for bill so we can work out ignores us. Wait for her return, she starts cleaning sink Ask loudly for bill now as getting a little peeved and she says she is too busy End up guessing and leaving some money and walking out Most annoyingly with the recent swiss franc adjustment have gotten home to find I bleeding tipped her about 20Euros....... gutted.!
