Please see my review of our overnight stay. Certainly I'd recommend this as a great pub and overnight stop to include dinner and breakfast.

Nestled in the scenic hills of Abergavenny, the historic Skirrid Mountain Inn offers a blend of old-world charm and modern experiences. Guests are often welcomed by pleasant staff and can enjoy a cozy atmosphere adorned with seasonal decorations. While the beer selection impresses and the hearty pub fare appeals to diners, reviews suggest a mix of experiences regarding food quality—ranging from delicious traditional dishes to disappointments like overcooked meals. Despite some culinary inconsistencies, the pub's rich history, captivating ambiance, and scenic surroundings make it a worthwhile stop for both locals and travelers alike.
