The location of this restaurant in Moneglia cann... read more Unbeatable location on the beach Ristorante Monile was a wonderful experience from the moment we were welcomed. The location of this restaurant in Moneglia cannot be beaten our table overlooked the beach and the Mediterranean and yet was private. The service was attentive and the food spectacular we had fresh seafood and pasta with a bottle of wine. WiIl definitely return if we are ever lucky enough to visit Moneglia again.

Increased prices combined with smaller dishes. This is the most hated thing from my point of view. Definitely, the cost of living is higher, so i do not have an issue with increased prices. But, do not shrink what you serve your customers.

It could be the server’s shyness in... read more The restaurant was beautiful and the outdoor seating overlooking the sea is quite popular. Service for our table was subpar. It could be the server’s shyness in speaking English. They did have a menu translation in English but the translations in some cases were poor or incorrect lacking detail. We had the hummus with shrimp appetizer, the tuna tartare and a beef tartare. The shrimp was quite good, followed by the tuna. We did not prefer the beef tartare as much…maybe more seasoning needed? Several of us had the risotto with raw shrimp and actually did not care for this. It could just be a difference in palate. The seared tuna was ok but we have tasted better in the region. The Fishermans Pot with gnocchi and seafood was quite good and was declared the winning dish of the evening. The meal was quite pricey and we left feeling underwhelmed. Lots of potential here for improvement both with the food and the service. Next time I would leave the children at home
