Reviews - Labas Latte Vino
Reviews summary
Tucked in Monee, this cozy, wine-forward spot earns praise for standout dishes—think Chicken Marsala, brie bruschetta and hearty seafood—and memorable cocktails. Warm, inviting atmosphere and generous to-go portions contrast with inconsistent service, long waits for large parties, occasional order mistakes and higher-than-expected prices (plus a card-use surcharge). The small, somewhat cramped space and accessibility limitations temper its charm, but many consider it a hidden gem worth the drive for a special night out.

Service, drinks and dinner were all excellent! Atmosphere was very enjoyable. The prices were lower than expected for the quality and size of our dinners/appetizers. We could not have been happier. We will definitely be spending more time here. This is a hidden gem!Food: 5/5 View all feedback.
What Beth Erzinger dislikes about Labas Latte Vino:
**Dining Experience: Dinner**
**Food Rating: 2/5**
**Service Rating: 3/5**
**Atmosphere Rating: 4/5**
The food unfortunately did not meet my expectations, earning a low rating of 2 out of 5. However, the service was decent, with a rating of 3. The best part of the evening was definitely the atmosphere, which I would rate at 4 out of 5 for its inviting and pleasant vibe. Overall, while the ambiance was enjoyable, the meal itself left much to be desired.

This restaurant is fairly decent, but it's a bit small, which makes it feel somewhat cramped. It took a while for the bartender to take our order, and the wait was even longer when a regular came in and engaged in a lengthy chat. The food was acceptable, and the drinks were alright, but the prices were on the high side. They also charge an additional fee for using a debit or credit card. Overall, I don't think I would choose to return here regularly.
Nice place and different than anything else in south suburbs. Large wine selection and craft beers. Nice bar with craft drinks on recommendation. Food is ever growing on the menu. Cheese and meat charcuterie board is what we had with some flatbread appetizers. Brie and apple bruschetta to finish off a lunch for four. The place is small but seating is cramped. A place to go for lunch and dinner.
Labas, Latte' Vino is fine dining. The Oysters Rockefeller are the BEST I have ever had. I even make my own and they are better than that. Great Prime Steaks, Scallops, Ribs and several Chicken and pasta dishes. White table cloths too. Elegant for any occasion but reasonable enough for weekly dining. Great patio. Homemade soup and they serve lunch too. We usually make reservations for dinner. The Scallops and Oysters sell out most weekends. My daughter is gluten free and vegan and always find … – show
My friend and I was there for lunch today. First time there. Paul one of the owners was charming and friendly. The food was wonderful, oysters Rockefeller fir starters and we had a panini and mushroom soup. The mushroom soup was excellent. Would have loved a few more mushrooms in it. The pasta side salad was very good. We had ****** Mary’s as our drink. They were very good. We sat outside and the patio was prefect. I did go inside and I loved the colors and clean look. Bravo. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was inviting, and the overall experience was top-notch. We each spent over $100, but it was worth it. I highly recommend trying the Wine Flight, Seafood Platter, and Creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta. Both the food and service deserve a perfect score of 5!

This restaurant is wonderful, making it an ideal spot for a date night. I think our server's name was Kevin, and he was extremely friendly. The blackened salmon was amazing. Overall, I would give the food a perfect 5 out of 5.

Sherry the bartender took great care of us last night (not sure of correct spelling)After calling last minute they said we could sit and eat dinner at the bar. So glad we did Exceptional serviceAs always at Labas food was excellent. Fresh oysters as an appetizer good red wine steaks and we split the Mac cheese.Awesome staff service foodI really want to go back on Wednesday for the prime rib.
A few weeks ago, we decided to celebrate a special occasion here at Labas Latte Vino. We visited a few days prior to check out the place and to be sure that they would be able to accommodate a party of 11 for 7:30 pm on a Saturday. They gladly said that it would not be a problem and that we would be seated upstairs. Once we arrived on Saturday for our reservation, they were not quite ready for our party as they had seated another party upstairs. They ended up seating us downstairs shortly after our reserved time. The first thing that happened was when we went to sit down the tables appeared as they were quickly pushed together. The salt/pepper/oil was left on one of the chairs and my son sat down next to me and the oil ended up splashing on my pants. I didn't make a big deal about it, because I didn't want the occasion to be ruined. After 45 minutes our first round of drinks came out. It took an hour for the bread and parmesan to come out. 1 hour and 30 minutes for our food to be served. We were short a Chicken Marcella and had received an extra Chicken Parmesan plate and they had also forgotten to bring out a shrimp and grits plate. At this point, it was almost 9:00 pm, and instead of waiting for the correct plate, we decided to just eat the Chicken Parmesan. The one order of Chicken Marcella we did receive was very salty. We told our waitress about the two mistakes, and after about fifteen minutes they were able to send out the shrimp and grits. They offered to make something different to replace the Chicken Marcella but it was getting too late to wait on another meal to be cooked and served. So the Chicken Marcella was sent back. At this point, everyone was getting frustrated, and we just wanted to pay our bill and leave. Once we received our bill over $400 we noticed that the Chicken Marcella was still on it. The manager notified us the head chef would not take it off the bill. We asked her if he would reconsider. The head Chef then peeked out of the kitchen and yelled across the room to just take it off the bill.I would like to add that other than the poor service and Mismanagement the food was good. We will consider returning to try again with a very very small party.Food- 4 starService- 1 starAtmosphere- 1 star
