View all feedback.
What ZeTorrena doesn't like about Ceu da Boca:
The restaurant claims to have “cozinha portuguesa de autor”. The food is awful. A lot of industrial stuff. Not tasteful. Not well made. They haven’t got a single decent red wine… Service average. At least it was not expensive. View all feedback.
What a fantastic place! We were so glad we visited … authentic food, a cosy atmosphere and very welcoming. The owner brought a range of dishes throughout the evening (all delicious but a special mention for the cod wow). Red wine was also really good. It is also very reasonably priced! A definite visit if you are near Mondim de Basto.
Just amazing. We came as a goup of eight. The rabbit sausages and pig cheeks were unbelievable. All freshly made, home cooking. Only open in the evenings snd excellent English. Look no further.
This lovely restaurant is hidden in the historic streets of Mondim de Basto but is surely worth the visit. We found it by chance and were delighted by the friendly staff, original decoration and delicious food and wine. And price was also a nice surprise!
Our lovely tour host Ricardo from Oporto Mountain Tours brought us to this little gem for dinner after a spectacular day spent touring all over Porto and the Douro Valley. Once through the entrance and turned around, it 's as if you 've closed the doors of the magical wardrobe in NARNIA. But it gets better because the couple running this place are so warm, welcoming and kind. And it gets better again as this talented duo turn out wonderful, delicious dishes using local ingredients they lovingly prepare. Our entire evening complete with our new family was truly a major highlight for us all and one we 'll keep fondly remembering and talking about for many years to come.
Let yourself be 'left in the hand of the chef ' and enjoy the magical mystery tour of seasonal small plates that come until you can eat no more. Really lovely space and welcoming hosts.
