A comprehensive menu of Flying Fox from MONA VALE featuring all 7 menus and drinks can be found here on the menu.
The Flying Fox restaurant offers a picturesque setting for a mid-week lunch, with delicious food, although the prawn tacos may require some extra effort due to shells. The location is ideal for families with a large playground and picnic area. However, the peaceful atmosphere can be disrupted during busy times. The food is described as generous and amazing, and the restaurant also hosts craft sessions on certain days, making it a unique dining experience. Despite some positive aspects, other reviews mention long wait times, lost orders, and cold food, leading to frustration and disappointment among customers.

Food is amazing and generous. On Thursday, Saturday and Sunday creativefraggle.com hosts a craft session between 9.30 and 11.30 where you can make a Christmas card or a special Christmas decoration that you can treasure forever. Each week you will make something different and unique x View all feedback.
What Elaine J dislikes about Flying Fox:
We waited an hour for a couple of big breakfasts. When they finally came they were cold. We asked for them to be heated and waited another 40 minutes. When they brought them they did not come with the sausages !!! We will never come here for food again!! The coffee was good !! View all feedback.
Great location for kids under 10. Space , good activities and there is the walk around the water as well.
This is a great spot especially if you can get here during the week before school gets out. Handy to grab a coffee and sit by the water to read and enjoy some quiet time ....but.....not much quiet time after school and weekends.
Visited on a Sunday in a group of 20 odd comprising a mix of Seniors, adults in their 30's & 20's plus children 6mths to 12 years. Had booked andour table was reserved in the requested location. A very busy establishment BUT the dining areas in gereral needed a good steam clean. Staff were pleasant and the ordering efficient. Food servings were plentiful BUT most dishes were well over cooked which was a shame as the coffee was excellent.
This charming semi-outdoor café offers great coffee in a beautiful park setting by the water. It's not extravagant, but it’s a delightful find that exceeded my expectations.
