However, I was pleased to discover that Mariana is still in Mompiche, now at a place called Madre Selva, located right in front of La Cotona. The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance and offers a variety of vegan and vegetarian options. I had the vegan pasta and the lasagna, both of which were delicious.

My all-time favorite was the Burrito with aji, gives you all the power to discover the rainforest their little foundation El Aullador is protecting or to go surfing. The owners care about nature and organic food, be sure to taste some hot chocolate with self-made oatmilk (even if its not on the menu and enjoy the sight of colibris eating their breakfast too :
