We were travelling back to Milan from a ski trip to Cervinia and stopped off here as it was one of few places with space available on Easter Monday. Little did we know that we would be treated to an incredible set lunch of grilled meat from an outdoor wood-fired barbecue. The chef and staff were very hospitable and the outdoor seating area was shaded which was perfect in the Italian spring. Definitely worth a detour if you are in the area.
Incredible experience of finest quality cuisine and italian hospitality. We came a little too early for supper and waited with aperitivo and friendly chat with Cristina. We got served with top care, every dish was accompanied with small introduction story and wine recommendations. Cristina and her brother Stefano share deep passion for food with their guests and they do it very well. Tastes were outstanding! Beautiful experience, we surely will not forget that evening and hope to be back one day in the region.
Everything was excellent and the courtesy was 10/10, the only flaw... the portions of a restaurant and not of a trattoria. An encore on the paniscia or a larger dose would have been very welcome.
You know when you book a place by chance and, once you leave there, you think what a great discovery! ? Well, this is one of those times. The quality of the products and combinations make the cuisine of this restaurant one of the best in the area. The cellar is also excellent with a wide range of wines to choose from and, for lovers of craft beer, there is also a small cellar dedicated to them. To top it all off, the friendliness of the waitress and the chef. Highly recommended for an evening out of this world , but of quality!
