I booked a table for lunch today for my parents me as we had visited the Anna Peschar Sculpture Garden nearby. We were seated in the conservatory and enjoyed a delicious lunch. My Mum especially enjoyed the (proper) ham, eggs and chips. Recommended, especially as it is very easy to park there with a huge car park a very short walk away from the pub. View all feedback.
What Fyrdsman doesn't like about The Inn On The Green:
Dropped in here for a beer with friends, the interior is a womb of character and full of history (as English pubs should be), there was a good range of draught ales and a billiards and pool table. What was intended to be a quick... View all feedback.
The pub is it really needs help. Old bits of chip board and stuff by the entrance! Come on some pots of bedding plants can be bought to cheer up the entrance and all the rubbish removed. The inside, dark, old furniture, ancient carpet but a lick of grey paint on the walls ,choose some lighter colours, some nice pictures, get rid of all the rubbish add some cosy baskets full of lap rugs, easy little investment and we would recommend it to all our friends,we are fairly local! They made us a ploughman’s,wonderful, the staff very friendly this could be a jem,as it is we won’t return,it’s not quaint inside it’s scary.
My husband was asked to go and look at some work that needs to be done and while we were there we had a beautiful meal. my husband had a home made beef burger with slender chips and coleslaw followed by a home made chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream,my daughter had Hunters chicken with slender chips and coleslaw followed by cheesecake and vanilla ice cream, I had a rack of ribs with barbecue sauce, slender chips and coleslaw. There is a variety of beers, ales and gins as well other best selling drinks. The hospitality was amazing and the owners and staff are extremely kind, helpful and friendly. We will definitely go back again and I would recommend it to any one person through Ockley.
Very nice meal for 3 on Saturday afternoon. all local ingredients and a wonderful service by martin. would recommend to anyone looking for great British pub eating and excellent service!
Omg had the most amazing Sunday afternoon great service and friendly atmosphere
A great, traditional and characterful British pub. Enjoyed a recent one-night stay on route to Gatwick airport. The food and ales were excellent and proprietor, Julie, and her staff were great hosts. Comfortable accommodation and very good value for money! Will certainly return at some point when visiting Surrey.
