We walked up from Dorking, via Coldharbour, and were delighted to find this little cafe still open ten minutes after the advertised closing time. We had a great mug of tea and a big slab of cake each. In terms of the latter, I can only vouch for my own (the other disappeared too quickly for me to sample it! , but it really was an excellent piece of lemon drizzle cake, moist and lemony all the way through. I think previous reviews haven’t made the distinction between the Tanhouse Cafe near Newdigate and their other branch, the Tanhouse tea bar at Leith Hill Tower on top on Leith Hill. They are associated but not same place being five miles apart. View all feedback.
