During our visit from New Zealand, we were craving a good curry and found it at this restaurant. We dined here twice in one week and the food was excellent. The Dansak, Madras, and Jalfrezi dishes were delicious. The large poppadoms with dips and naan breads were also great. It is a bit expensive, but the quality of the food justifies the cost. The service charge is understandable. The service was good and we appreciate that dining here is a choice. The alternative would be cheap, low-quality food. Such is life.

The food at this restaurant is good, but could use more spices for added flavor. I was disappointed with the portion size of the Tandoori king prawns, as there were only 4 for 19.95! However, Bookham Tandoori does fill their containers well. Overall, I had a very nice experience and would consider ordering from here again.

Before dining at this restaurant, it is advisable to check your bank balance first as you may be surprised by the bill at the end. Not only do they charge a 12.5% service fee in Leatherhead, but it is not disclosed on their menus or website. If you enjoy paying £1.15 for a singular poppadom and an extra £1.15 for condiments, as well as £4.00 for a glass of lemonade poured from a generic plastic bottle, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, it is best to avoid it. The food is mediocre and exorbitantly priced, while service is efficient likely due to lack of customers, as others have pointed out.

We have eaten at many Indian takeaways/restaurants in London and Surrey. 5 Rivers is by far the worst. The food is average, the same gravy is applied to pretty much all dishes. And they charge pretty steep for the mediocre food. What also put us off was the fact that they charged us £10 for a couple of poppadoms! Their explanation being, they provided some chutney/dips alongside! And what's woese, they take out the table cloth right off your table WHILE you are still eating! The place doesn't run clearly. Wouldn't set foot in that place ever again.

Great Indian restaurant right in the heart of Leatherhead. The food is delicious and the thing I really like is the attention to small detail which is always the sign of a good restaurant. Also really like the decor as it looks like a traditional Indian restaurant but with an up market feel. A+.
