I 've known Diego and Carmen for almost 4 decades now. They 've taken a basic tapas restaurant all the way to a high end bistro type restaurant. Again, like most Spanish restaurants, you will have your staple meals that you are familiar with, however, like some of the others in the area I encourage you to ask Carmen what has recently been made, or fresh. Salads here are picture worthy, the Jamon Iberico (cured Iberian ham) to die for, and the Queso Manchego Curado (aged goat cheese) is also a must. Fried calamares on the seafood side, and if you want to go out on a limb, gambas rojas when in season (red prawns from Garrucha). The Sole and other local fish are also excellent. There is also a very good wine selection here, one that Diego probably could recommend based on what you are eating. As for tapas you have those too. I like the alitas de pollo or chicken wings. They look basic, but have loads of exploding flavours if you get them recently fried up. Deserts are nice, and why not top off the meal on the terrace with a Brandy. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.
A smart restaurant at the Hotel Indalo end of the beach. Sadly no gazpacho, but we had paella for two which was very good and plentiful. Good white wine, and decent cortados. We also had tapas here which had a limited choice, but very tasty. Worth a visit, but maybe best to book
Nice food . The fish was really fresh and the atmosphere is magnifique.i will recommend to person who like seafood. I had a fish soup and sea bream .
If yo want to sample Spanish this is the place to go, every type of tapas you can think of plus a great restaurant. Take care when you order the portions are very large if you order a starter you can find yourself overfaced. The service is good and they speak a little English, really enjoyed my visit.
We liked the comfortable seating in this quiet restaurant. The service was attentive and friendly . The lunch menu we thought was quite limited and unimaginative with all rice dishes to be pre-ordered. On our way out of the venue we discovered the board offering rather more choice as a menu del dia which had not been offered at the table. The quality of the a la carte dishes was generally disappointing. Starters were okay being a platter of manchego cheese that was shared and a shared dish of scrambled eggs, mushrooms and prawns. The bread was warm and good but a sin gluten version was not available. A main course of pork loin was dry, overcooked and tasteless. The potatoes were nicely fried but small in quantity. The lamb chops were okay and the sea bream was good and plentiful. Two freezer desserts were taken but no sin gluten was available, other than a piece of fruit. The bill amounted to over 95 euros including some drinks and we thought that this was not particularly good value. From this first visit we were not that impressed, will not return and therefore not able to recommend it.
