The... read more We have visited this restaurant many times over the years, and we have always felt that the quality of food is better than the other Italians on the Pueblo. The views are also lovely if you manage to get a table on the upper terrace. On this occasion, we were very disappointed with both the quality of the food and the exceptionally poor service from the two male waiters on the roof terrace. We found them to be abrupt, dismissive, and inpatient. One of them even said that he was waiting for closing time as he didn't want to be there. The food was basically thrown down on the table at each course, and we were made to reuse dirty cutlery for starters and mains. It's a small point but one that adds to the general experience. They were communicating with the ground floor using very loud walkie talkies, which really smashed through the ambience of our evening meal. Our salad started was very nice. We ordered a pizza and pasta dish for the main. The pizza was burnt and unpleasant. The pasta was average, but the portion size was generous. I would add that the staff downstairs were lovely and helpful, as always.

The food last night was average which could be mitigated by the superb views but what really annoyed us were the two male waiters on the terrace. They clearly didn’t want us to be there, and were downright rude. The wine was banged down in front Of us, the glasses banged down. No chance of trying it first. Plates banged down. I had to shout at one’s retreating back to ask for some black pepper. He then threw 4 sachets of pepper at me. No pleasantries, no Thankyous and goodbyes. I understand that there are many tourists that come and go through this restaurant so perhaps they don’t feel the need to be nice. The owner is just lovely however and very friendly but she had disappeared by the time we finished our meal as I had wanted to tell her about the service. I’m not sure if we will go back which is a shame.
