Today I had the Menu del Dia [Menu of the Day], which comprised a light 3 course lunch of Gyozo [Fried stuffed dumplings], Sushi rolls, a generous selection of 3 types of Sushi roll, with garnish of Wasabi horseradish sauce and pickled ginger, followed by home made [de la Casa] Green Tea Ice Cream. The food is fresh, flavoursome and beautifully presented. The Gyozo are the best I have ever had and the ice cream, which is strictly for an adult palet is just amazing. My wife enjoyed a vegetarian Udon noodle dish, which of course I tried and it was delicious. Service is excellent, with knowledgable waiting on staff who are very keen to tell you whats fresh and they are also able to adjust an order to suit your particular taste. The restaurant itself is modern, beautifully apportioned, comfortable, bright and welcoming. You can eat outside on the terrace, sat in a comfortable chair at a table or you can eat at the bar on a stool. By comparison it is a bit pricey, but compared to say a London Sushi restaurant, this place offers great value, and to be honest the food is as good as any Japanese restaurant I have eaten in before, in fact its excellent.
