We tho... read more This is a locals restaurant with great atmosphere, friendly staff in a fantastic location right on the beach… unfortunately that’s where the praise ends. We thought we would dine where the locals dine because the food would be authentic and good, and my gosh it was full to bursting…. But the food was beyond terrible. Our paella was more like a risotto that had been microwaved to heat up (any Spaniard should be appalled by this). The fried squid was more rubbery than a tire, and the line fish had been fried for so long it was like eating saw-dust. All-in-all a terrible experience best avoided.

I use to eat paella, octopus salad, fried squids and fried fogonero fish. I have tried many restaurants but they don't want to fry sin gluten!! So I use to come to El Boya, thanks a lot.

He told us about an authentic fish taverna, where the locals would go for fried octopus, paella, grillled fish, and great vibes. When we got there we had to pick a number and wait about half an hour to get seated because the restaurant was full of happy families. No other tourists in sight. The service was fast and friendly, the food was gorgeous, and the bill very light indeed. We were so happy that this place was recommended to us and will definitely go again.
